Welcome to Wilfrid’s House

Wilfrid's House is a BACP-accredited, registered charity committed to helping people cope with life’s challenges.

We offer 1:1 psychotherapy and life coaching to adults, we support parents who are struggling with everyday family life and we provide pastoral workshops and training in schools, universities and organisations.

Our work is possible thanks to our amazing team of volunteers and to all who donate to Wilfrid's House, enabling us to continue supporting people and communities in need.

Our Services

  • Psychotherapy

Through psychotherapy, we support individuals, couples and parents who are going through challenges such as anxiety, grief, depression, inability to cope with daily life, relationship issues and bereavement.

  • Life Coaching

Through our brand new life coaching, we support individuals to gain clarity, feel more in control of their circumstances, able to move forward with purpose and achieve their goals.

  • Workshops & Training

We work with schools and organisations to deliver impactful workshops and mental health training, enabling stronger, supportive communities.

We are proud to work with…

  • “Deciding to seek therapy should be your own decision. It starts with admitting that you cannot, and, most importantly, you don’t have to face your issues alone. So, in a moment of difficulty or even despair, the first step is to realise that there is help and that it is okay to ask for it. Secondly, do not take the decision based on the “gravity” of the issue. Whether you’re having work-related frustrations or going through a bereavement, every problem is worth talking about and should not be downplayed because “others have it more difficult than you,” or “It’s not polite to talk about yourself.”

  • "The team is hugely respected within our school culture. They are flexible, knowledgeable and most importantly so giving and kind."

George Webb, Deputy Head, Christ Church Primary School, Chelsea

  • "I write this with not only a heavy heart but a heart with love and hope and acceptance of a different reality. A reality without one of our precious boys. My husband and I have begun work on our shared and individual grief with counsellors from [Wilfrid’s House] after the drowning of our son. With their gentle encouragement and understanding, these trained counsellors have walked us through the precarious unknown “space of loss” with loving hands and understanding, and guided us through this void into a new acceptance. We are most grateful for the work of these dedicated counsellors."

  • “I felt very lost a few years ago and knew that my problems were too much for my friends. I needed proper support but I didn’t know where to start until I stumbled upon [Wilfrid’s House]. I’ve since dug deep, done a lot of thinking and learnt so much about myself - it’s been an amazing process and ultimately, it’s enabled me to turn my life around.”

  • “The communication and relationship between the school and Time to Talk is excellent and the regular meetings and feedback regarding the service means that the tweaking and adapting to the needs of the school are timely and effective. We have now built the foundations of an exciting service that will expand, change and develop over the coming years.”

Andrew Bull, Headmaster, Cardinal Newman School

  • “In terms of model, cost, value added – and impact – I think the service is dynamic, tailored, integrated, forward thinking and peerless and unlike any other service I have seen (or know of) in 3 previous outstanding schools, whether state or private.”

    Dan Wright, London Oratory School
